As we are slowly coming into air conditioning season, here are a few tips you can do before it gets hot. Following these tips can prevent being uncomfortable for the 1st heat wave of the summer.
A/C TIPS – PREPARING FOR THE SUMMER SEASON
- Make sure any covers are removed from the outdoor unit
- Check to make sure outdoor coil is free of debris, lightly rinse with water if necessary
- Replace or clean the furnace filter
- Ensure breaker is on to the A/C unit
- Replace batteries on thermostat
- Finally, if the temperature is above 15C / 65F , turn unit on and let it run for 15 minutes. Making sure your A/C starts and cool air is coming from your registers is the best way to avoid being uncomfortable for the 1st heat wave of the summer
